We are delighted that in addition to giving our opening night concert at the 2025 Festival, Ryan has agreed to lead a workshop on 26th July at 3.30pm in the Parish Centre, Church Street, Church Stretton, SY6 6DQ.
The workshop has been arranged with well-known local accordion teacher, Ed Moseley. We are most grateful to Ryan and Ed for all their work in arranging the workshop.
The workshop will last for about 90 minutes which includes a break for light refreshments (included in the booking price). It has been designed for those who are at intermediate level (Grade 4 and above) in playing the piano accordion. All minors who wish to book to attend the workshop need to be accompanied by an adult throughout the event. There is no additional charge for the accompanying adult who can also enjoy the interval refreshments.
On booking for the workshop, as well as your ticket, you will receive by email three pieces of music in PDF format which will be the focus of the workshop. You will have the opportunity to work on the pieces and come to the workshop to hear how a virtuoso accordionist plays them and learn how to improve your own technique. We are grateful for permission to send you the music by the publisher, Charnwood.
You will need to bring your own instrument with you and a music stand. Please note that there is no parking at the Parish Centre and you will need to transport your instrument and music stand on foot for approximately 300m from one of the town centre car parks.
Bookings for this workshop will be as for our other ticketed events, and will open on 31st May. Prices will be £15 for adults, and £8 for students under 25.
