We are also excited to welcome Keith along to our Exhibition…
Saturday 3rd August 11am – 3pm
No need to book just come along and enjoy!
Throughout his career as a school Head of Art, Keith continued to undertake commissions and exhibit his work, but having given up teaching he now concentrates on his love of painting. He favours portraiture and figures as subjects, but as a highly talented professional artist has produced many different genres. His work shows great energy and superb attention to detail. Between 1990 and 2010 he produced a long series of commissions for the Show Business world, which included portraits of many of the late great entertainers. A collection of these works is now housed at Pinewood Studios. More recently he has hosted a number of highly successfully solo exhibitions including Weston Park and Himley Hall.
Keith was elected a member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists in 2016, is a member of the long-established Birmingham Easel Club and is a former President of the Birmingham Art Circle.
We are delighted that Keith will be joining us at the Exhibition, along with his easel and tools of the trade, to do a live portrait demonstration. He will be pleased for visitors to gather round, watch as the portrait develops, answer questions and explain his techniques.
