‘Notes on a well-travelled fiddle’. Crowd-pleasing local fiddler Brian Stone presents an engaging mix of traditional and contemporary music.
Brian’s a classically trained local musician with an unusually varied fiddling career, and he’s been involved in a broad range of television, radio and theatre projects.
He’s toured across Europe, America, the Middle East and China, and appeared at many of the top UK folk festivals, both as performer and teacher. He’s also taught folk dance music for the English Folk Dance and Song Society, and played frequently at its London headquarters, Cecil Sharp House.
Now based in Church Stretton, Brian continues to play countrywide and, with local musician Ed Drury, plays electric violin, guitar, mandolin and bass in Branded Rogues.
