Spend a few days with us in the heart of the lovely Shropshire Hills!
Church Stretton has a good selection of independent shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. Close by is the well-known Carding Mill Valley, managed by the National Trust, from where you can start numerous walks on the Long Mynd which afford superb views over the surrounding countryside. There’s a tea-room there too.

Library Opening Hours are: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 9.30am-5pm.
The Visitor Information Centre is also manned, by volunteers, on Monday and Wednesday (when the library is closed) 10am-4pm.
If you want a day away from Church Stretton, you could easily visit Ludlow or Shrewsbury during the day, before returning to your evening concert…
Ludlow is a short drive down the A49, or as easily by train, and is well known for its shops and food outlets. Lots of info can be found on the Ludlow Website .
Shrewsbury, a similar distance northbound, and also easily reached by train, has a multitude of old buildings, whilst also providing a good range of shops and eateries. The Original Shrewsbury Website will tell you all you need to know.
Ironbridge is a not-too-distant 45min drive away and if you’ve got time is an absolute must being, as it is, the birthplace of the industrial revolution. More info can be found on the National Trust Website .
